Authorized users may create new course sections for a specific term. When initially added, the system will automatically supply default values from the Course Inventory record. The user may then change the default values to specific values of the added section. Authorized users may customize any Course Term File screens.

To create a new course section for a term:

First establish the context line by entering the COURSE and the TERM on Screen 129.

Press Enter.

Tab to FUNCTION. Type A for add.

Press Enter.

NOTE: If you require an ACTIVITY type other than the first activity listed on the Course Inventory record (Screen 125), you must also enter the correct Activity Type in the field ACTIVITY, BEFORE you press Enter. See "Creating Sections for Multi-Activity Courses".

Once the new section has been created, you may then change default values that are not applicable as well as enter data for the fields that were not populated from the Course Inventory record.
