Adding or Deleting Approved Academic Programs

In order to ensure that students are not matriculated into invalid academic programs, SRS keeps a table of approved academic programs on Screen 134. Whenever a student is matriculated, SRS checks that combination of division, degree, and major against the table of approved academic programs maintained on Screen 134.

The system will not allow a student to matriculate into an academic program that is not on the approved table.

When a school approves a new program of study, it must be communicated in writing to the Registrar's Office to be added to the SRS table of approved academic programs.

Only the Registrar's Office may add or delete approved academic programs to SRS. Academic programs will be closed by the Registrar's Office when the division/school indicates that the academic program is obselete. See Obsolete Academic Programs for more information.
